Different destinations around Paris

The Versailles castle is not very far from Paris. The full visit (tour inside the castle plus tour in the gardens does not exceed 5 hours).

Some people prefer the art and achitecture inside the castle, some other people prefer the visit of the gardens. It is not necessary to visit systematically the (crowdy) whole place. Just a passage into one or the other is possible.

Other places in the surroundings of Paris can be your day journey:The Loire valley castles Chambord, Chenonceau and Blois, Villandry, Amboise...

Two other destinations: Chateau de Chantilly and Chateau de Vaux le Vicomte.
